More than 10.000 castles can be visited worldwide. If you love to visit, photograph and study castles like me you have to make a selection, you can't visit them all. Topcastles.com can help you make that selection. It has gathered the most beautiful and interesting castles and put them in a top 100 list.

Rate your favorite castle for the top 100


Every square picture of a castle on this site links to the information page of that castles. In the sitebar left you can rate the castle with a score from 1 to 10. The rating of the castle is used to create the top 100 list. These castles have not been rated yet. The castles with the highest ratings are listed separately in the visitors top 100. The pictures below represent the top ten castles of this list:
 
 

Lists per country, castle type and more


The database of this site contains over 900 castles. In the menu "search" you can query this database and create your own list of topcastles. The menu "per country" contains a selection of topcastles per country and area and even a list top-castle countries and regions. The menu "per type" lists the topcastles per castle type. The pictures below represent the top ten castles of the Netherlands:
